Sire had the highest growth rate within Charollais sires in 2002. Dam had the highest muscling within Charollais sires in 2002. Dam's sire had the highest muscling within Charollais sires in 2000/1/2/3.
ZYV:2061 has only 14 recorded progeny in Charollais Sires to date yet one of these lambs(ZYV;3033) has still managed to record the highest muscularity figure of all the Charollais lambs born this year (8.10).
His lambs this year have an average muscle EBV of over 4mm (top 5% of scheme). His Lamb ZYV:3033 is being used heavily within our flock this year, he has an index of 390.
We have found that his progeny grow very well and have exceptional muscling without the need for supplementary feed. This ram is currently being investigated by the Rosin Institute, Edinburgh looking for a double muscling gene. This ram was viewed by Ian Clark last November.

Meon Hill Lewis is sired by Summerwood Grand Union who is the sire of the 120,000gns, world record priced, Loosebeare Imp. Lewis is the best ram in the embryos flushed from FDM 99 037 in the autumn of 2004. Both his sire and dam have a proven track record for consistent breeding. All requirements for an excellent terminal sire are covered in this breeding. Lewis is a good long sheep with an excellent top line. He is an ideal shape having a square shoulder which is narrower than the width of his broad full quarters. His has good bone and his legs are well placed in the corners of his body. He has a good shaped head without being to broad and the whole package is off set by a good quality wool.

Born as a twin in 2001. His dam was an embryo purchased from the Meon valley flock whose sire was Meon Valley Balmoral supreme champion Texel at the Royal Agricultural show of England in 1996. This ewe is still alive and in the last two years, has produced two of the highest priced rams at the National Sheep Association ram sale in Builth Wells, where 2500 Texel rams are sold annually. His twin sister has been at the centre of our last two embryo programs and has produced 23 lambs.

This ram has been our most consistent stock sire over the last four years and has been used again this year(autumn 2006). His figures are robust and continue to improve as his daughters enter the flock. He is a good all-round sheep, above average size without being extreme, a straight top line, a full and well rounded hind quarter with good wool, correct teeth and feet.
